Australian CEOs plot deeper job cuts than global peers

Just 14 per cent of Australian chief executives say their companies have generated extra profit as a result of AI adoption, as local bosses forecast more layoffs than global peers.

The 29th annual PwC Global CEO Survey, released overnight, showed local leaders were much more bullish about revenue growth over the next year – 90 per cent said they felt “moderately” or “extremely confident” of growth – compared with global peers (73 per cent).
