The thrum of exits from Matt Comyn‘s CBA has been catching our interest recently. Maybe not enough attention has been given to those joining the other way. In a bit of funny timing, the bank has poached Clare O’Neil’s director of policy, Thomas Duke.
That would be the housing minister’s policy brain, who played a pivotal role in designing the 5 per cent deposit scheme – the one that has allowed first home buyers to get leveraged up to their eyeballs with the nation’s balance sheet acting as a backstop.
