Media operative and owner of famed Byron Bay hotel Raes on Wategos, Antony Catalano, and his wife, Stefanie, have slashed the asking price of their Melbourne penthouse by about $6 million, down to $29.95 million, blaming the city’s soft market on the high-taxing Victorian government.
The luxury sky-home is one of several big-ticket listings to be offered with discounted price expectations in a bid to land a buyer, as last year’s unsold trophy stock is re-introduced to the 2026 market.
